The revised National Planning Policy Framework was published on the 24 July 2018 setting out the government’s planning policies for England and how these are expected to be applied. It is an update on the previous version published in 2012. It has now been a few weeks since the new framework has been out and we have used it in some of our consultations, applications and planning appeals. When you do an appeal if new policies come out prior to the final decision the Planning Inspectorate allows the applicant to review the updated policies and highlight any changes that can work in their favour.
Some clauses have remained in the revised NPPF with the only amendment being moving location for instance Paragraph 55 the criteria for isolated homes in the countryside has moved to Paragraph 79.
